We’ve tried it all in my house – bottles that leak, bottles with too many parts, bottles that collect old buildup and yucky residue. Now that we’re three kiddos deep, you name it, we’ve seen it. But we’ve also seen the best of the best! And at the very top of that list is Joovy Boob Baby Bottles.
Joovy has perfected the old-school glass bottle. Glass absorbs NONE of it’s held liquid. Which means these bottles don’t turn yellow, they don’t acquire an odor, and they don’t soak in any taste. Joovy bottles are just as fresh on the 100th feeding as they were on their very first! And they are dishwasher safe. So sanitize wash, steam wash, whatever your washing machine calls for. No scrubbing and no bottle brushes required.
Glass products can be scary. One clumsy little toddler, one frustrated baby kick, one swing of the hip, is all it takes to send things shattering. But Joovy Boob bottles come wrapped in a super sleek, super safe silicone slip to encourage stability and prevent breakage.
When it comes to bottle parts, I like to take the minimal route. Nothing makes a momma frantic like a freshly prepared bottle that’s missing one tiny piece to keep it sealed. Joovy’s ventilation system is a one-piece CleanFlow system. One little grey ring is all it takes to keep the air flowing through no matter how the bottle is held. It has little grooves that fit perfectly into its ridges, so there’s no room for error or leaks. Three simple pieces for easy bottle prep and easy feeding!
The most important part – the nipple. It doesn’t matter how easy it is for momma to wash, or how reliable it is against leaks. If baby doesn’t love the bottle nipple, momma stands no chance. With a large round base and a natural nipple length, Joovy Boob aims to provide the most natural latch and transition from breast to bottle. Joovy bakes their nipples, too! Which builds its strength – so you don’t have to worry about it collapsing during feedings or stretching out over time. With various stages from 0 to X, there’s a Joovy nipple for every baby .

Our Experience With Joovy Boob
Gia girl had been using a different bottle brand for roughly three months before trying Joovy Boob. She had been accustomed to a very different nipple, one with a flatter tip and much smaller base. But I was eager to make the transition to Joovy’s bottles mostly because of the sanitation the glass offered.
It was as soon as her second feeding with Joovy Boob that Gia took to the new nipple. She needed only a few attempts at a good latch to really get things flowing. With the cone-shaped design she’s able to move her latch up and down until she finds a comfortable length and diameter for her unique mouth size. At four months old she uses an 8-ounce bottle with a Stage 2 nipple. And the flow is just right for her pace. Lately she attempts to hold her own bottle! And the glass has been just as easy for her to handle as the plastic bottles we have previously used.
After caring for three babies, I’ve spent hours of time scrubbing the yellow residue that many bottles leave behind. I’ve ordered the tiniest scrubbers I could find to get into the nooks and crannies of difficult nipples. But Joovy Boob is different. The glass is slick and the nipples are incredibly smooth. I’m never scrubbing or brushing. A quick rinse in-between daily feedings, and a steamy dishwasher run each night leaves every piece sparkling clean.
Glass bottles can be uncomfortable territory for many mamas! But Joovy Boob hits every nail on the head. Design, cleanliness, airflow, safety, and variety. The breast-like shape is so spot-on, I wish I would’ve relied on Joovy for her very first newborn transition.
