Every momma knows how tough on the heart a baby’s first birthday is. And well, this past weekend my Ava girl had just that, her very first birthday celebration. I can’t give you some heartfelt post full of throwback pictures and beautiful words describing my love for her, because guys, I will just bawl my eyes out. Like, I will just hit the ground sobbing because I am all sorts of crazy over these babies of mine. So instead, here is her absolutely adorable Valentine’s Birthday Party. I’m pretty proud of this little event. I certainly gave it some serious effort considering it was my first party as a blogger and the first for my only little girl. A handful of stores and a hundred different Etsy shops later. Major praise to the mommas who consistently throw picture-perfect birthday bashes. I needed a vacay after all of the work that went into it, but my goodness, I hope I never forget this one!
My sweet baby girl, I’ll spend my entire lifetime trying to make you see yourself the way I see you: brilliant, strong, and effortlessly beautiful. In one short year you brought us insurmountable happiness. Your chubby little self makes me a much better woman with each day that passes. Forever rooting for you baby girl, forever in your corner.
